The only sure way to prove whether or not a material contains asbestos is to use a testing service. A laboratory carrying out asbestos testing must be accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

In some instances it may be necessary for an asbestos material that cannot be readily identified as being non-asbestos to be sampled and analysed using our asbestos testing service.

·	1-3 samples - £18.00 per sample
·	4 or more samples - £16.00 per sample
·	Next day results service - £4.00 per sample in addition to the above
		The above costs are exclusive of VAT

Asbestos test results are returned by post usually 3-4 days from the receipt of samples, however for an additional cost of £4.00 + VAT, samples received before 4-00pm Monday - Thursday will have the results of our asbestos testing delivered the next day either by fax or verbally by telephone.

The results of samples received on a Friday before 4-00pm will be delivered on the following Monday. In all instances written results will be delivered by post within 3-4 days.

The discovery of an asbestos containing material has the potential to reduce the value of any property. When purchasing a property ask your surveyor to find out if any known asbestos containing materials exist or alert you of any suspect materials and have them checked out.

PASS (UK) Ltd offers three options.

Site Visit
Attend the building or area, take sample/s of the material, analyse them and report the findings along with guidance on how to safely carry out any planned work or maintenance. (this option may not be available in all areas)

Sample Pack
Upon request we will send you a sampling pack containing pre-labeled sample bags, protective gloves, disposable wipes and if necessary disposable P3 dust masks and disposable overalls along with full guidance on how to take a sample (it may not always be advisable to take samples without adequate training. We will offer advice concerning this issue). A postage paid business reply envelope is also provided to return to us samples for analysis and any used wipes or gloves for disposal.

Drop off Service
Mainly a service for local business or individuals. Samples from materials presumed to contain asbestos should be delivered to Litton House along with information regarding the sample (material type, usage, location etc along with any other information desired to be shown on the laboratory report) and either invoice details or payment in full for the service cost. Samples should be safely sealed (re-sealable pre-labeled sample bags are available from Litton House or on request by post) and delivered to the main reception.
